The Slashers from AXOR…

It all started when the slashers from AXOR spotted a shiny blue and green planet. “That’s the one we will attack!” said the leader of the slashers. Her name was Aliana. She the worst alien of the land - only had destruction on her mind.

She sent Boun to go and check which place should they attack first. And it turned out to be the Boragh superhero family headquarters, which was home to Guppy, Lava Girl and Blinding Fast. Everybody had a super power, Guppy could make shapes with water and Lava Girl could withstand the heat of lava balls and Blinding Fast could run so fast, you can’t even see him.

Meanwhile in AXOR, the Slashers made a plan. They would use their stealth and sneak in, while Guppy, Lava Girl and Blinding Fast Boragh were having a barbecue.

They snuck in right after the Boragh family had done their safety patrol of HQ. When the Slashers were breaking in, one of them, called Axel, wanted to watch the Boragh family barbecue. But their leader said, “We have bigger fish to fry!” And it turns out that the Boragh family were frying fish!

They were going to release a monster called the Fainta Phantom. It has such bad breath that he could make a dead fish faint! So their plan was, when the Boragh family faints, they could take over the world. But it did not last very long!

So Guppy, who had super smell, tracked down the Slashers, even if they had teleported to Uranus. But here, Guppy’s strength became her weakness! Because since she had super smell, she fainted first!

When the Boragh family went to Uranus, they saw that the Slashers had put a teleporter on everything they wanted, and there was a remote which controled where the teleporters would teleport. So, what they had to do is steal the remote, then read the tags from where the slashers stole the items and teleport them back.

But the remote were protected by lasers! Only the slashers could walk through the lasers. But the Boragh family had other ways of passing through the laser beams. Guppy did an acrobatics class, so her synchronized moves helped Lava girl and Blinding fast get through.

Now came the part where they had to lock up the Slashers in a place from where they could not escape. They found a very closed space filled with carbon dioxide, because the Slashers can only breathe in carbon dioxide. They can also breathe in oxygen for one day.

After locking the Slashers up, they went to read the name tags. Every time they found a name, they would teleport it to the address. It took them some time, but eventually they teleported everything back to their owners and there were a few items that were for them.

They beat off those aliens and could continue their barbecue! But they had to start over, because the breath of the Fainta Phantom was so bad it made a dead fish faint!

Thank Them, Not Me!!!

Hello I had a great grade 1 all because of my teachers. Every unit we had an end of unit reflection so I decided to have an end of year reflection.

Now let me walk you through my year. Our first activity was when we wrote our names on a piece of paper and our teachers tried to guess our names. It was actually pretty easy for them because they could see our names on our papers. And this year we had 6 units! Usually we have 4. Our units were behavior, celebrations, public areas, space, trade and waste. And in every one, we did some sort of project either as a group or by ourselves.

Our teachers always plan something fun, especially in the last week of school we did lots of activities. For example, miss would tell us to draw shapes. She did not tell us the measurement of those shapes and in the end she would tell us what we were supposed to draw. And when she ran out of ideas, she chose one kid to be the leader. He or she would tell the other kids to draw shapes to make something else. I, Inaya Sinha was the leader. I made them draw a cat.

And one day my teachers read us a story called The Gruffallow. Then, a few days later we drew the setting of the story.

I have a computer and I know how to use it thanks to my ICT teachers. And I am flexible because my yoga teacher taught me yoga. And my homeroom teachers taught me all sorts of subjects like math, english and UOI.

I am fit because of my PE teacher. Even though I don’t know much Marathi I know a little bit. And when I started out I did not even know my veangun but now because of my Hindi teacher I even started reading 2-3 letter words.

Now and then my drama teacher does give me some dramatic moments but she is still very fun. And art! Where do I begin! It is just so creative. I have improved a lot since I started. I just love dance because we move around a lot and we use our space. LRC is wonderful.. you get to hear so many stories. It takes us to a whole new world. I had completely forgotten how to play the keyboard, but music class brought my music back.

Our teachers taught us to thank garbage men, medics, cooks but there is one group of people that nobody thanks, can you guess? YES OUR TEACHERS! They work very hard to teach us no matter how naughty we are and even if our parents are being sleepy heads our teachers wake up early in the morning just to teach us. They have taught me so many concepts I did not know before.

So a big thank you to all my teachers for making our year so special!

And we must also thank our Principal Mrs. Pinto! She was able to got all of us together.. the teachers and the students.. so that we could have so much fun and learn so much together even though there was a pandemic all around us!

If your parents say thank you so much for learning then tell them don’t thank me, thank my teachers! They taught me everything I know today!

The Cycle of Recycle…

We want to save our planet earth

Because it is getting hurt

We can ride our bicycle

And we can recycle

Put your trash in different bins

To save those little fishy fins

Don’t be grumpy to hand your trash

To someone who will make it a mash

Then you shall get something new

Even if you had to give a few.
